What is NACHURS Enduro-Shield?

NACHURS Enduro-Shield technology is a purified high quality, marine macroalgae extract product obtained from Ascophyllum nodosum with gene expression, growth promotant, and stress mitigation properties. It is for use in Agricultural crops including row crops as well as specialty crops like fruits, vegetables, turf, and ornamentals. Ascophyllum nodosum is the raw material used in the manufacturing of NACHURS Enduro-Shield. It is exclusively hand harvested from the Brittany region in France where extreme environmental and geographic conditions (up to 45 ft. between low and high tides) exist.

The Technology

Bio-K


 The compounds and metabolites found in NACHURS Enduro-Shield     technology are extracted from brown seaweed (Phaeophyta), and   specifically from the species Ascophyllum nodosum. The   concentration of compounds can fluctuate based on time of year
 and environmental changes, but generally contain the following   metabolites which work together to activate plant defenses, regulate   gene expression, enhance plant growth, and increase crop yield.


Harvest


The Brittany region of France represents 800 species of seaweeds, which is almost 10% of the total seaweed biodiversity. Among all of the them, we only select one species - which is known to bring extraordinary benefits to crop production: Ascophyllum nodosum. 


This wide range of growing conditions are important because: 


  • Environmental extremes cause seaweed to be completely exposed to both saltwater and air daily. 


  • Seaweed develops unique survival mechanisms in these extreme growing conditions. 


  • Microscopic, bioactive compounds are produced by these seaplants as a result which can then be harvested, processed, and extracted for use as a sustainable solution in growth and development of agricultural crops. 


Once crop harvesting is complete, processing begins within 24 hours to ensure structural and functional integrity of bioactive compounds contained in the seaplants. They are then double-rinsed and sorted before going through a dual crushing, cold-process extraction and then concentrated down to a high quality, low use rate, biostimulatory product which work together to enhance plant growth and eventual crop yield.
