Aqua-Tech®: Fertigate with Confidence®
It is well known that phosphorus is essential for seedling vigor. We know early season applications of P will set the trajectory for greater yield and speed maturity of the crop when applied in-furrow.
But did you know that most crops take up greater quantities of phosphorus after rapid vegetative growth is over? For most crops 70% of phosphorus uptake occurs during pollination and grain/fruit development.
Typical farming practices apply all of the phosphorus early in the season. As time passes, phosphorus binds in the soil and becomes less available. Therefore, applications of phosphorus just before or at the beginning of grain/fruit development can be extremely beneficial. Applying NACHURS Aqua-Tech 7-20-4 is the best way to apply this needed phosphorus in irrigated situations:
- Last year in northwest Kansas one farmer applied about 3 gallons/ acre through a pivot and later harvested his best beans ever (94 bushel). He later received an award as a state leader for soybean production.
- At Kansas State, 6 gallons gained 32 bushels of corn in 2015 and 18 bushels in 2016.
- At Texas Tech, 5 gallons on cotton produced 177 pounds of lint in 2014; 307 lbs in 2015; and 273 lbs in 2016.
This should be an excellent year to give NACHURS AquaTech 7-20-4 a try!
