Cotton

OVERVIEW

Cotton has a critical need for phosphorus and potassium from germination through reproductive stages, where maximum yield potential is determined. The NACHURS Advantage ensures that the cotton plant has adequate available phosphorus and potassium when the plant needs it most for maximum yield potential.

Give your cotton plant a strong and uniform emergence with NACHURS seed-placed starter. When used as a foliar fertilizer, and applied to the plant foliage, the nutrients are absorbed quickly throughout the plant for a healthier cotton crop to maximize yields. NACHURS liquid fertilizers can also be tank-mixed with most glyphosates and fungicides to save cotton growers time and money!

NACHURS HIGH YIELD PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS

PREMIUM 5 STEP PROGRAM
The following are intended as a general recommendation for all cotton production. Adjustments can be made to these recommendations based on geography, environmental conditions, soil type, water availability, etc.  Consult your local District Sales Manager and/or Agronomist for detailed specifications based on a more narrow set of circumstances.

EARLY SEASON PROGRAM

1. At Planting:

  • In-furrow
    1. Products such as (but not limited to) NACHURS Triple Option®, Rhyzo-Link® 3-10-13, NACHURS playmaKer®, and/or NACHURS K-fuel® should be used in-furrow at a rate of 1.5 to 2.5 gallons/acre with equal amounts of water. A Y-splitter may also be used for increased protection in crops which are sensitive to fertilizer placed in close proximity to seed.
    2. NACHURS micronutrients (NACHURS® 9% Zn EDTA, NACHURS CornGrow®, NACHURS SoyGrow®, etc.) should be added to the above fertility programs at a rate of 1 to 2 pints/acre for maximum productivity.
  • 2x2
    1. Products such as (but not limited to) NACHURS K-flex™, NACHURS K-fuel®, and Rhyzo-Link® 0-0-15 should be added to ammonium polyphosphate (i.e. 10-34-0) and/or UAN solutions for 2x2 placement at a rate of 1 gallon to every 10 gallons of solution.

FOLIAR PROGRAM  Foliar fertilization and nutrition is not a stand-alone program. It must be used as a key element in a complete fertility program. Foliar applications not only supply needed nutrients through the foliage, it also stimulates the plants ability to take up additional nutrients from the soil. A healthy plant with adequate nutrition (especially K) will be able to tolerate biotic and abiotic stress more efficiently. Foliar nutrition allows for “spoon-feeding” the plant to optimize efficiency and performance. Together, soil applications and foliar applications can work together to increase the plants ability to produce maximum yield.

2. At Early Foliar:

  • Products such as (but not limited to) NACHURS Finish Line® should be applied alone or in conjunction with pesticides (insecticides, herbicides, etc.) at 2-3 true leaf at a rate of 1 to 2 quarts/acre. A jar test is recommended to check compatibility with pesticides.

3. At PINHEAD SQUARE:

  • Products such as (but not limited to) NACHURS topKicK® and/or NACHURS K-flex™ should be applied alone or in conjunction with pesticides (insecticides, herbicides, etc.) at early to late pinhead square at a rate of 1 to 2 gallons/acre. A jar test is recommended to check compatibility with pesticides.

4. At BLOOM:

  • Products such as (but not limited to) NACHURS topKicK®, NACHURS playmaKer®, and/or NACHURS K-fuel® should be applied alone or in conjunction with pesticides (insecticides, etc.) at early to peak bloom at a rate of 1 to 2 gallons/acre. A jar test is recommended to check compatibility with pesticides.

5. PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS (PGR), throughout the growing season:

  • Products such as (but not limited to) NACHURS Finish Line® should be applied in conjunction with plant growth regulators (ethephon, etc.) at a rate of 1 to 4 quarts/acre. A jar test is recommended to check compatibility with pesticides.
